History
The
Chinese
Long tail,
also
known
as
the
China
game fowl,
is
thought
to
have
originated
from
the
homeland
of
China.
These
magnificent
birds
were
brought
to
the
United
States
in
the
1930's
by
Chinese
Immigrants
who
were
employed
by
the
late
Mr.
Herman
Pinnon.
It
was
not
unheard
of
that
Mr.
Pinnon
also
incorporated
blood
from
these
fowl
into
his
own
American
Game fowl
Bloodlines.
Characteristics
Although
these
are
game fowl,
they
are
a
beautiful
sight
to
behold.
They
have
massive
length
in
tail
feathers
and
good
length
in
saddle
feather
area.
Leg
color
also
comes
in
a
variety
of
yellow,
white,
green
and
slate.
Feather
type
and
color
variations
differ
to
that
of
many
and
not
limited
to
the
rare
recessive
white
being
seen.
The
China
Game fowl
is
also
a
pea
comb
fowl
and
has
a
weight
of
4-6lbs.
Hens
are
good
layers
of
medium
sized
eggs
that
are
creme
to
white
in
color.
They
also
are
outstanding
broodies
and
good
mothers
to
the
chicks.
